Become a Service Member

Service Members are an integral part of The SKLA and provide a tremendous service to our members. As a service member, you have the ability to provide a service to the SKLA membership and demonstrate your leadership in the industry. Your membership includes the following:

Quarterly SKLA newsletters

Advertising opportunities in newsletters and other forms of communication

A direct link from the SKLA website to your organization’s website

Opportunities to sponsor SKLA meetings and events

Preferred cost of admission to attend special events and luncheons

An invitation to attend our annual trade show, run in conjunction with the SKLA AGM

Members holding a Service Membership are entitled to one vote and are eligible for election to the Board of Directors.

  • An association that is recognized by all levels of government as the voice for the rental housing industry in Saskatchewan

  • An association that promotes professionalism within the rental housing industry.

To assist owners and managers of rental housing in Saskatchewan by informing them of issues affecting their industry, promoting fair rental housing legislation and creating opportunities to more effectively and efficiently manage their properties.


SKLA participates in discussions and forums on behalf of our members. Some of the areas that have resulted in positive outcomes for our members include:

  • The Residential Tenancies Act
  • Department of Social Services policy
  • Security deposits
  • Property taxation
  • Fire Department bylaws, rules and regulations.


SKLA will continue to grow and to be actively involved in the following areas:
