There are multiple industry issues that are on the Associations agenda at any given time. Through our relationships with government officials, elected representatives, and community partners, we are able to make progress on issues that impact a large number of our members.

The Act is currently being amended by the Legislative Assembly and is in its first reading. There are several amendments being considered that will help members. Further details will be provided in Q1 of 2021.
The Association is currently awaiting a report from the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission before determining future actions relating to the SIS program.
The Association has met with representatives from the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation about this issue and is currently awaiting for a decision from the Human Rights Commission.
The Association was successful in advocating for the lifting of the provincial suspension of evictions on August 4, 2020. We were the first province in Canada to do this.
