Saskatoon, SK – 2020 may go down in history as the year that housing was never more important. Homes of all shapes and sizes became the place where our leaders told us to stay put so that we might be safe from a disease known as COVID-19.
With an increased focus on housing, landlords and property managers across Saskatchewan stepped up cleaning efforts, pivoted to virtual operations, and collaborated with renters in ways never seen before. Even with a suspension of evictions that lasted four months, rental housing providers were able to provide clean, safe, and stable housing for an estimated 83,000 households.
Rental housing providers across Saskatchewan have demonstrated a commitment to the health and safety of our province and we couldn’t be more proud of the work that they’ve done this past year.
Cameron Choquette, Association Executive Officer
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to extend our deepest thanks to our members for their patronage and commitment to the rental housing industry in Saskatchewan. 2020 was a year like no other and our members stepped up in every way.
Hillary Sayed, Board Chair
As the Association looks forward to 2021, we would like to wish our members, stakeholders, and renters a holiday season filled with food, fellowship, and good health and a prosperous New Year. Thank you to all those who supported the Association’s work over the past year.
The SKLA office will be closed from 4:30pm on December 23, 2020 until 9:00am on January 4, 2021.
