Become a Service Member

Service Members are an integral part of The SKLA and provide a tremendous service to our members. As a service member, you have the ability to provide a service to the SKLA membership and demonstrate your leadership in the industry. Your membership includes the following:

Quarterly SKLA newslettersAdvertising opportunities in newsletters and other forms of communicationA direct link from the SKLA website to your organization’s websiteOpportunities to sponsor SKLA meetings and events. Preferred cost of admission to attend special events and luncheonsAn invitation to attend our annual trade show, run in conjunction with the SKLA AGM

  • An association that promotes professionalism within the rental housing industry.
  • An information source to property managers, owners and service providers.

OUR MISSION

To assist owners and managers of rental housing in Saskatchewan by informing them of issues affecting their industry, promoting fair rental housing legislation and creating opportunities to more effectively and efficiently manage their properties.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

SKLA participates in discussions and forums on behalf of our members. Some of the areas that have resulted in positive outcomes for our members include:

  • The Residential Tenancies Act
  • Department of Social Servicespolicy
  • Security deposits
  • Property taxation
  • Fire Department bylaws, rules and regulations.

SKLA will continue to grow and to be actively involved in the following areas:

  • Property taxation

  • Market rental, operating cost and property value surveys
  • Expansion of member discounts and services
  • Development of a rental industry trade show
